We all want free images to use in our church communications, but where can we find ones that we can use without guilt and without violating the Terms of Use for some of the sites?
Though there are hundreds of sites that claim to be "free" out there on the web, most of them have hidden agendas, are actually teasers for payment sites or have such restricting rules and terms of use that they are unpractical for use in a church setting.
After many hours of research and shifting through the websites, I've come up with four of them that I highly recommend (plus one obvious one many people forget about). These sites have excellent quality images, primarily photographs (not just tacky clip art) and their generous reproduction rights make them free in cost and guilt-free for churches to use.
This video not only gives you the location of the sites, but it goes to the sites and shows you a brief, visual tour of them.

Yvon,
Thank you for making the webinar available, the way you did. I had problems viewing it this afternoon as well, however, didn’t take time to contact the company, because I figured a host of others were having problems as well.
Beautiful pictures shown on this webinar. Thank you for tihs information, especially some of the background info on some of the sights. I always thought Morguefile was a strange name, now it makes sense. On the Microsoft sight, I’ve been looking for images, but was always in a hurry, I would download what I was looking for and move on. I didn’t realize there was a basket there, I’ll be using that. I’ve always had a problem understanding public domain and plan to go and read a little more about it. This webinar time really flew by.
Thank you for all your work to make it easier for church communicators! I appreciate all you do and at the end always reminding us what our purpose is. Thank you. I’m looking forward to next week, I always have a terrible time modifying photos.
Blessings,
Chris Feenstra
