The people who visit our churches are often lost souls for whom Jesus died--we cannot let them pass through our church as invisible visitors without making a connection with them, if we are to be disciples who are working to obey the Great Commission.
It doesn't take big gestures and huge budgets to make those connections. As the song says in this and every other situation of relationship building "little things mean a lot."
One of those very important little things in building a relationship with visitors are Connection Cards. I have experienced many times in personal ministry and have seen at many churches, I've worked with how Connection Cards can grow a church, make people feel cared for, and do more for a church growth than anything else tried at the church.
In addition, in these days when everyone is watching finances very carefully, Connection Cards have a very tiny cost. It is frustrating that I can’t do some sort of heart transplant to make church communicators everywhere understand how important they are.
Don’t whine, do something
That is what I told myself and so I decided to re-broadcast the webinar on Connection Cards and do a focus of the various articles and resources on my website on them. With the many outreach events held in the fall and at other times in your churches, you don’t want people’s experience to be a one-time visit and that’s all.
With Connection Cards, you have a significant way to connect and follow-up with people. In addition to the webinar, I’ve also made the various articles and related resources available to you. The listing and the links are below.
One more thing
I wish I could show each one of you in person how great the paperback book version of the Connection Cards turned out! It is wonderful and makes a great tool for your church staff to study or as a gift to anyone who wants to increase their ministry. It is available at on amazon.com. There is a FREE Kindle version with most of the theory and the print book has over 60 additional pages with examples and creation ideas. CLICK HERE to go to them.
Both versions of this book go into every detail on Connection Cards including how to create them, what not to do, how to present them to get the most turned in, how to follow-up after collecting them, plus examples on design, layout, content. It is an invaluable resource for any church.
